Book Art – British Academy Literature Week

For this week’s British Academy Literature week in London (20-24th May), artist Justin Rowe is exhibiting his unique book art.

Shoot the Moon

Rescuing unloved books from charity shops, Rowe gives them a new lease of life by creating them in to enchanting sculptures from woodland scenes, to commissioned work commemorating the Antarctic explorations of Sir Ernest Shackleton.

I particularly love how Rowe’s work captures that almost magical feeling of reading, opening up a new, and slightly surreal world just for you.

For more, visit Rowe’s website or his blog.

To see it for yourself, visit British Academy Literature Week.
